- I lived on the North Island in the 80's for about 8 yrs. I was in New Plymouth when Bechtel was building the gas-to-gasoline plant, and I lived in two suburbs of Auckland--Packuranga
and Howick. Am looking forward to meeting fellow NZ ex-pats!
